PURPOSE:To provide the dictionary device for proofreading assistance which can automatically read out the standard notation of a word with plural notations only by specifying the field of a document by providing filters which have data characteristics to respective fields of documents. CONSTITUTION:A dictionary access module 1 is an interface module for reading data out of a dictionary device body 2. The dictionary device 2 consists of a dictionary 20 and plural filters 21-24 and the dictionary 20 contains data applicable to the documents of the respective fields. Further, the filters 21-24 are a filter for newspaper, a filter for explanation, a filter for essays, etc., and stored with information characteristic to the documents of the respective fields, e.g. newspaper terms, magazine terms, assay terms, etc. Then a notation mode characteristic to each field is specified by selecting a filter and notations are standardized. Further, the dictionary device is reduced in size and the maintainability is improved. |
