<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to use this charge collecting system also for different charged vehicle sorts in respective toll roads by providing an on-vehicle equipment with a read-only memory for storing vehicle items such as the outside dimension or the like of the vehicle and allowing a road machine to judge a vehicle sort based upon the vehicle items. CONSTITUTION:The read-only memory 4 in the on-vehicle equipment stores ID information inherent in the vehicle and stores also vehicle items such as the outside dimension, maximum load capacity, total weight, passenger capacity, and internal combustion engine of the vehicle and these items are read out by a CPU 1. The CPU 1 executes radio communication with the road machine through a communication circuit 2 and an antenna 3 and transmits information such as the ID information and the vehicle items read out from the memory 4 and a readable/writable memory based upon a request from the road machine. In the road machine, a communication control circuit 6 executes radio communication with the on-vehicle equipment through an antenna 5, a vehicle sort judging part 7 judges the vehicle sort based upon the vehicle items obtained by the circuit 6 and a charge calculating part 8 calculates a charge corresponding to the vehicle sort.</p> |
