PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in a video quality due to synthesis by applying synthesis processing to a coded video signal while being compressed. CONSTITUTION:A signal unit being the object of synthesis is extracted (121, 122) from plural video signals as a unit for synthesizing a larger signal unit not giving effect onto coding even through division and position information of each signal unit is adjusted to match a display, desired position and a synthesized video signal is generated (140). When one pattern is not finished by the extracted signal unit, the deficient signal unit is added by using a header corresponding to the signal unit as a dummy to make one pattern complete. |
