PURPOSE:To provide a method for assembling a spindle motor without causing shift in the center of magnetism while enhancing the accuracy in rotation. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor comprises a shaft 2 penetrating a bracket 1 perpendicularly while being supported thereby, a hub 5 supported rotatably by the shaft 2 through a pair of bearings, a rotor magnet 7 mounted on the hub 5, and a stator 8 disposed on the shaft 2 or the bracket 1 oppositely to the rotor magnet 7. When the spindle motor is assembled, the rotor magnet 7 and both bearings are fixed to the hub 5 to constitute a hub assembly and then the shaft 2 and the stator 8 are fixed to the bracket 1 thus constituting a bracket assembly. Both bearings of the hub assembly are then bonded to the shaft 2 of the bracket assembly while aligning the magnetic centers of the rotor magnet 7 and the stator 8. |
