<p>A mixing device (10) for use in a microwave oven (12). The mixing device (10) comprises a base structure (14,16) and an outer plate (18) arranged in parallel alignment. The base plate (16) of the base structure and the outer plate (18) are each provided with support means on opposing surfaces thereof. The support means (20,30,32) are adapted to allow movement of the outer plate (18) relative to the base plate (16) in its own plane. Drive means (34,36,40,42) are provided through which the outer plate (18) may be driven. Actuation of the drive means may be effected by coupling to the movement of a rotating plate of the microwave oven or by a self-contained power unit that is shielded from exposure to microwave energy. <IMAGE></p> |
