PURPOSE:To provide the communication system which can change easily an installation place, and also, whose circuit efficiency is satisfactory. CONSTITUTION:A private branch information communication system 1 is constituted by forming one optical transmission area 8 by providing at least plural terminals 7, plural slave machines 6 connected to each terminal, one set of management device 3 and a master machine 4 connected thereto, providing plural such optical transmission areas (8a, 8b), and also, cable-connecting each management device (3a, 3b) by a common trunk line 2. To the slave machine 6, an address number is imparted at any time from the management device in the same optical transmission area, or it is set by receiving, etc., the address number from the management device at the time when power is supplied to the terminals 7 connected to each other, and at the time of link setting and regular data transmission, the communication is executed by using this address number. In such a way, a useless transmitting operation and congestion of circuits can be suppressed, a rewriting work of management data in the management device after the terminal and the slave machine are moved becomes unnecessary, and the service interruption of the communication is not generated either. |
