<p>PURPOSE:To partially retrieve and display the registered picture or a still picture data base. CONSTITUTION:A picture to be registered is divided into respective picture parts (S4), and they are individually compressed (S5). The picture parts ID are given and they are registered (S6 and 7). The picture parts ID consist of keywords and unique serial numbers as against the picture parts of the same keyword in all the registered pictures. At the time of retrieval, a retrieval condition expression is inputted (S8). Management data of the registered picture provided with the picture parts coincident with the retrieval condition expression is list-outputted (S9 and 10). The picture parts designated by the retrieval condition expression in accordance with the selection of one piece of data in a list is read from the data base (S14), and they are extended and synthesized so as to picture-display them (S15-17).</p> |
