<p>PURPOSE:To surely perform recording/reproducing operations and to enable the use of a cylinder and a cylinder driving device with low unit prices, for which high starting characteristic is not required, by completing the start of cylinder in the state with a small tape load applied to the cylinder at the time of start up and also making the cylinder restart the operation even in the case where the cylinder can not be started due to generation of the state unexpected with a large tape load to the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A detecting part 117 for cylinder start completion and a processing part 118 for cylinder restart are arranged, and the start is completed in the state with always a small tape load applied to the cylinder by driving the tape after the start completion of cylinder is detected. Also, when the cylinder can not be started in case of an emergency, the recording/reproducing operations are surely performed by unloading the tape and making the cylinder restart the operation.</p> |
