PURPOSE: To terminate each conductor of a multiconductor data cable. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector assembly 20 includes insulating housings 22 and 24 having a connection end for effecting engagement with the other electrical connection device, and having a cable accommodating end terminating a multiconductor cable. A plurality of electrical contacts are supported in the housings 22 and 24. Each contact has a conductor termination part and a connection end part with the other device. These contacts forming a pair of lines spread in a horizontal direction and separated in a vertical direction are supported in the housings 22 and 24. The contact in one column is positioned to correspond to the contact in the other column, and is electrically short- circuited directly to the contact in the other column.
