The VCR for displaying the calling time of the caller on the screen includes: a circuit (20) driving the deck with reproduction mode until detecting the VISS signal and, if detected, outputting the detection signal; a circuit (30) providing the beep sound and recording control signal after driving the deck forwardly at a high speed until detecting the VISS signal as much as the stored numbers of the VISS; a relay (40) switching the telephone line to the deck or circuit (30) with the bell signal and providing the detected calling- party- control (CPC) signal as the recording stop control signal; and a circuit (70) applying the OSD data to the deck after detecting the recording time key signal.
