<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a head from being worn and also to obtain stable output of the head. CONSTITUTION:A recessed groove 13 extendedly located in the direction crossing the drum rotating direction R is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 11, and the recessed groove 13 is positioned in the neighborhood of a magnetic head 12. Therefore, the area in the recessed groove 13 among the area of an air film 14 becomes a negative pressure, and a magnetic tape T is pulled near the surface of the rotary drum 11, so the thickness of the air film can be set to nearly by the constant dimension in the neighborhood of the head, then the magnetic head 12 is pressed against the magnetic tape T with a specified pressure to be brought into contact with the magnetic tape T. Since the thickness of air film can be set to nearly the constant dimension in the neightborhood of the head, nearly the same pressing and contacting states are botained for the head at the optional tape winding position, therefore, the touching face between the magnetic head 12 and magnetic tape T is made uniform.</p> |
