PURPOSE:To sound syllable names determined by a syllable name determining means at the pitch of a key that, for example, a player presses by sending an instruction to a sounding means so that a syllable name determining means determines syllable names on the basis of a specified pitch and a temporary signal and the determined syllable name is sounded at the pitch specified by a pitch specifying means. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 201 operates according to a control program stored in its internal ROM 202 while using its internal RAM 203 and work memory, inputs the operation states of function switches such as #/flat select switches 102 and a timbre specification switch and keys by scanning the function switches and a keyboard 101, and reads waveform data out of the ROM 202 according to those operation states to generate a musical sound. When none of the #/flat select switches 102 is pressed, 'fixed' syllable names are sounded. When the # switch and flat switch are pressed, the syllable names of a # system and a flat system are respectively sounded. |
