摘要 PURPOSE:To easily and accurately measure a charge in solidification and time of a fluid material with a light-weight, small-size detector by putting the fluid material in a groove and moving the material by means of a piezo-electric body, and then, detecting modulated outputs with a piezoelectric sensor. CONSTITUTION:An annular groove 2 is provided on the surface of a flat discoid supporting body 1 and piezoelectric bodies 3 and 4 for generating annular traveling waves and a piezoelectric element 5 for detecting generated traveling waves are stuck to the rear surface of the supporting body 1. Electrodes 7, 8, and 9 are respectively connected to the piezoelectric bodies 3 and 4 and piezoelectric element 5 as input-output terminals. liquid specimen is put in the groove 2 and AC voltages are respectively applied in different phases across the piezoelectric bodies 3 and 4. As a result, the liquid starts to move and the element 5 detects amplitude modulated signals, with the detected results displayed on a monitor 12. When the liquid gradually solidifies and the relative flexibility of the liquid changes thereafter, the degree of amplitude modulation gradually decreases and, when the liquid completely solidifies, the amplitude modulated signals disappear and standing-wave signals appear. Therefore, a change in the solidification of the liquid material can be detected.
