发明名称 SECONDARY BATTERY HAVING NONAQUEOUS SOLVENT ELECTROLYTE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance high voltage resistance and the charge characteristic of a negative electrode by using a nitroalkane represented by a specific formula as an additive to a nonaqueous solvent. CONSTITUTION:As an additive to a nonaqueous solvent, a nitroalkane is used which is represented by the general structural formula: CnH2n+1-NO2 wherein (n) is a natural number from 2 to 6. A solvent comprising a propylene carbonate with nitroethane added thereto in a volume mixing ratio of 10% and with 1M of LiCIO4 dissolved therein is used. A cell using nickel as a working pole and lithium as the opposite pole and a reference pole is fabricated, and electrochemical lithium is precipitated and dissolved on the nickel electrode. The efficiency of charge and discharge is calculated from the ratio of the amount of electricity required to vary the potential of the nickel electrode and to precipitate the lithium to the amount of electricity required to discharge lithium ions. The use of the above electrolyte 5 enables high voltage resistance and the charge and discharge efficiency of the negative electrode 3 to be enhanced.
