The present invention relates to a device intended to hold a cage structure delimiting a goal area, intended for sports played with large and small balls, in a vertical position, to support it and to pivot it. It consists of a crossbar 1 connected to two vertical uprights 2 and 3 equipped with rotation devices 17 to 25. Each vertical upright is fastened by means of at least one linking and supporting bar 4 to a vertical tube 5 or 6 pivoting about a shaft 7 and connected by means of tabs 8 to a support 9 sealed in the ground. A tube 12 is fastened on the support 9. Inside, a ball is held in compression against the tube 5 or 6 by means of a spring 14.
