PURPOSE:To produce an industrial catalyst excellent in mechanical strength and used for advantageous production of a corresponding unstad. aldehyde and unsaid. carboxylic acid from propylene and isobutylene. CONSTITUTION:A mixed soln. or an aq. slurry contg. catalytic components is dried and fired, a silica sol having 1-10nm average particle diameter and water and/or alcohol are added to the resulting fired body and they are kneaded, molded, dried and heat-treated to obtain the objective catalyst contg. at least Mo, Bi and Fe used for synthesis of a corresponding unsatd. aldehyde and unsatd. carboxylic acid by vapor phase catalytic oxidation of propylene and isobutylene. |
