PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently produce the double glazing by extruding a hard resin spacer compounded with a drying agent between the outer circumferential edge parts of a pair of glass flat plates. CONSTITUTION:A pair of glass single plates 11 are arranged almost parallel to each other interposing a prescribed space 12 between them. Then spacer 13 consisting of the thermoplastic hard resin 13b, which is compound with a >=50wt.% of drying agent 13a and has 95 deg. JIS A hardness is extruded in a nearly rectangular cross-sectional shape so that the spacer 13 is inserted between the outer circumferential edge parts of the pair of glass single plates 11 to obtain the double glazing G. Also concurrently with the extrusion of the spacer 13, the sealer can be formed on the outside of the spacer 13 by using a soft resinous material having 70 deg. JIS A hardness to protect the end face parts of the pair of glass single plates 11. Further the frame body which covers the outer circumferential edge of the outer surfaces of the pair of glass single plates 11 can be concurrently formed by utilizing a part of the sealer to obtain the double glazing that can be efficiently assembled. |
