PURPOSE:To provide a circumference recognition auxiliary device, by which even a beginner can easily put a vehicle into a garage or can easily park a vehicle longitudinally. CONSTITUTION:A circumference recognition auxiliary device for a vehicle is provided with plural pairs of a wide-angle area photographing means 2, which is mounted in a vehicle 1 for photographing a condition around the vehicle 1, and a distance measuring means 3, which is mounted in the vehicle 1 for measuring a distance to an article to be photographed by the wide-angle area photographing means 2. The circumference recognition auxiliary device is also provided with a solid virtual means 4, which assumes the article solidly on the basis of the information from the wide-angle area photographing means 2 and the distance measuring means 3, an image converting means 5, which forms a bird's eye view of the circumference of the vehicle 1 by means of computer graphics on the basis of the information from the solid virtual means 4, and an image indicating means 6, which indicates the bird's eye view obtained from the image converting means. |
