PURPOSE: To provide a device capable of exactly positioning and fixing the edge of a plate and forming a sleeve. CONSTITUTION: The device for producing a sleeve type printing form 17 from the plate 9 having through-holes is provided with fixing frame edges 5 and 6 to be arranged with the joining edge of the plate. The fixing frame edges 5 and 6 have positioning pins 10 which are fitted into the through-holes of the plate 9. A means 11 for rotating the frame edge around the axis parallel to the ordinate is installed to the one frame edge 6. The frame edges 5 and 6 are disposed to face each other by rotation. At the time of formation of the sleeve, the edges of the plate fixed to the frame edges 5 and 6 are brought into contact with each other and are joined.
