PURPOSE:To obtain a polypropylene composition excellent in rigidity, heat resistance, toughness, and impact resistance at low temperature. CONSTITUTION:This polypropylene composition is obtained by thermally treating the kneaded product of (A) 85-55wt.% of a propylene block copolymer, (B) 10-30wt.% of ethylene.1-butene random copolymer and (C) 5-15wt.% of fine talc powder at 135-165 deg.C for 20-180min. The composition has (i) a flexural elastic modulus (FM) of >=23000kg/cm<2> measured under a cross-head rate of 2mm/min in accordance with the ASTM D790, (ii) an Izod impact strength (IZ) of >=40 kg.cm/cm measured on a 6.4mm thick notched test piece at 23 deg.C in accordance with the ASTM D256 method, (iii) a thermal deformation temperature (HDT) of >=150 deg.C measured under a condition of a load of 4.6kg/cm<2> in accordance with the ASTM D648, (iv) a low temperature brittleness temperature of (BTc) of <=30 deg.C measured in accordance with the ASTM D746, and (v) a long periodic time of >=200Angstrom measured by an X-ray small angle scattering method. |
