PURPOSE:To improve operability by stopping switching to a twin turbo condition when an operating area is judged as a low torque area in the twin turbo condition when a condition is switched to the twin turbo condition from a single turbo condition. CONSTITUTION:After an engine operating area is shifted to a single turbo area from a twin turbo condition with a single twin switching judging line as its boundary, judgment (step S40) is made on whether or not preset time T1 passes, and before the preset time T1 passes, judgment (step S41) is made on whether or not the operating area crosses a single twin switching judgment stopping line set at a narrow interval to the single twin switching judging line between the single twin switching judging line and a twin single switching judging line to the single turbo area side. When the operating area crosses the single twin switching judgment stopping line to a single turbo condition side, switching to a twin turbo condition is stopped at once, and a single turbo condition is maintained. |
