A structure (1), for example on-board a spacecraft, comprising a dimensional sensor including at least one optical fibre stretched in the gap between a first fastening region (1A) and a second fastening region (1B) which are attached to this structure, this fibre comprising a sensitive length defined by two points (6, 7) located in proximity to these fastening regions, and one of the ends of this fibre being designed to be connected to an interferometric measurement system (6).
