A roller (110) is mounted on a fixing plate (120) for movement along the length of a rail (300), with cleaning members attached on either side of the roller. The cleaning members consist of a pair of brushes (210,220) engaging the roller and rail surfaces, retained against the fixing plate. The brushes are secured to the fixing plate by sliding engagement of a sleeve-shaped projection (230) forming the brush support over an end portion (121) of the fixing plate. The sleeve may have a bottom panel forming a depth stop, or a projecting lug on the fixing plate may restrict relative vertical movement of the components.
