REINFORCED RIM MOLDED PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To obtain a reinforced polyurethane/polyurea RIM molded product having good surface sharpness by obtaining good homogeneity and good storage stability by mixing an active hydrogen-containing compd. and a reinforcing filler. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous reinforcing filler composed of wollastonite with an average fiber length of 100mum or less, a fiber diameter of 1-10mum and an aspect ratio of 10 or more is added to an active hydrogen compd. The active hydrogen compd. containing the fibrous reinforcing filler has good homogeneity and good storage stability. A polyurethane/polyurea RIM molded product is good in shape retention, dimensional stability and surface sharpness. Polyurethane/polyurea is a polymer containing a urethane bond and/or a urea bond. The polyurethane/ polyurea RIM molded product is produced by mixing an isocyanate compd., the active hydrogen compd., the fibrous reinforcing filler and a catalyst being raw materials and injecting the resulting mixture into a reactive injection molding machine to mold the same.
