PURPOSE:To calculate and display the present traveling condition even when the rotation detection of the wheel can not be executed during the traveling in a traveling condition detecting device of a moving body which travels as the wheels of a bicycle or the like are rotated. CONSTITUTION:The wheel rotation detecting signal is supplied to a micro computer 27 through a electromagnetic induction coil 26 and a detecting circuit 24, the total traveling distance and the traveling distance per second are calculated to be stored in a work RAM 30 and to be displayed in an LCD displaying part 8. When the rotation detecting signal can not be obtained, the rotation detection stopping condition is alarmed by an alarming device 28 after the specified period of time is elapsed. In addition, when the traveling stop key is operated before the specified period of time is elapsed, a judgement of the intentional traveling stop is made. On the other hand, when the traveling stop key is not operated after the alarm is given, a judgement is made that the rotation detecting action is defective, and the total traveling distance is added and updated based on the traveling distance per second immediately before the detecting action is stopped. |
