METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE OF GLASS IN FOREHEARTH

PURPOSE:To provide a method for controlling the glass temps. in a forehearth constituted to execute change to a kind different in gob temp. while maintaining the gob temp. of the kind currently under production in the forehearth of the process for production of glass in stable state in a short period of time. CONSTITUTION:The glass temps. are measured in a spout part and for each of respective zones. The measured glass temps. are subjected to fuzzy inference by two variables; a deviation from the set value thereof and a change rate of a difference between the temp. measured this time and the temp. measured previous time with time, by which the set temps. for the glass temps. in the respective zones are determined. The gas flow rates of respective burners are then controlled by regulating the set values for the opening degrees of valves of cooling zones and the set values of the respective glass temps.
