PURPOSE:To provide a material for an antithrombogenic medical instrument composed of a specific graft copolymer having high mechanical strength, heat resistance or the like, showing high antithrombogenic characteristics particularly with a very small number of deposited thrombocytes, and ensuring high safety. CONSTITUTION:This is an antithrombogenic medical instrument material, featuring the composition thereof as a graft copolymer where a radical-polymerizable monomer having two or more hydroxyl groups in a molecule and/or a radical- polymerizable monomer having a bonding unit expressed by the following general formula (1), is graft copolymerized onto a thermoplastic elastomer. The formula (1) is [CH(R)CH2O]n, where R stands for a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and (n) for an integer between 2 and 100. |
