PURPOSE:To offer an operating method capable of carrying out an efficient ship steering by a pusher as well as an inexpensive pusher capable of outputting thrust towards any direction. CONSTITUTION:This is a marine ladder propeller R, which contains an input shaft 1 driven by a main engine, a propeller device P equipped with a propeller shaft 8 driven by the input shaft 1 and a steering engine 6 for rotating the propeller device P, and is provided with a steering shaft 3 for connecting the propeller device P and the steering engine 6 together longitudinally from a stern A and has a gear box G including the end part of the input shaft 1 supported laterally from the ship body H. The propeller device P is rotatably supported by the gear box G and the steering shaft 3 and power is transmitted by providing an input shaft side gear mechanism 12 for transmitting power of the input shaft 1 inside the gear box G and providing a propeller shaft side gear mechanism 10 for transmitting power of the input shaft side gear mechanism 12 to the propeller shaft 8 inside the propeller device P. |
