Process and equipment for decontaminating strontium- and sodium-containing radioactive nitric effluents. According to this process, the aqueous effluent is placed in contact (at 1) with an organic phase comprising a crown ether such as DCH18C6 and a diluting agent such as CHC13, in order to extract selectively the strontium in relation to the sodium, the strontium is then reextracted in an aqueous solution (at 3) and thereafter bonded to a cation-exchanging resin (at 5). A high strontium decontamination rate is thus achieved, with a very high concentration factor.
|
