Novel taxoids of general formula (I), preparation thereof and pharmaceutical compositions containing same. The novel taxoids have remarkable antitumor properties. In general formula (I), Ar is an aryl radical; R1 is an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, bicycloalkyl, phenyl or heterocyclyl radical; R2 is an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, bicycloalkyl, optionally substituted aryl or heterocyclyl radical; each of R3 and R4 is a hydrogen atom, or one of R3 and R4 is a hydrogen atom and the other is a hydroxy radical.
