The invention relates to an arrangement for the visual differentiation of altered tissue in an environment of unaltered tissue in which the altered tissue is labelled with a substance which can be excited to fluorescence by light, the tissue can be irradiated with fluorescence-inducing light and can be viewed with an endoscope. In order to achieve quick observability it is proposed that a marker substance be used which can be coupled to the altered tissue. The marker substance may be an antibody, an enzyme, a lectin and/or a medicament, which are coupled to a fluorescent dyestuff and can be incubated with the tissue, essentially exclusive coupling with the altered tissue taking place. <IMAGE>
