<p>A device (1) for maintaining the inner surface of gun barrels, e.g. handgun and/or long gun barrels. Specifically, the device (1) is useful for cleaning and lubricating the projectile-guiding surface of the barrel. Said device (1) essentially comprises a movable member (4) consisting of an elongate body (5) having two ends (6, 7) and a substantially uniform cross section such that the body can be loosely fitted within a barrel having a given inside diameter, said member being longer than the barrel into which it is inserted; and a member (9) for attaching a flexible tip consisting of a folded fibre strip having a cross section with a given contour, and engaging the inner surface of the barrel.</p> |
