The invention relates to an arrangement for fastening roof or facade tiles consisting of natural slate on roof boarding, the tiles exhibiting holes which are intended for the insertion of nail-like fastenings and permit the insertion of automatic driving-in tools for fastening means. In order to provide said arrangement, where the intention is to ensure appropriate driving-in of the fastening means and to prevent damage to the tiles by the automatic driving-in tools, it is proposed that the roof or facade tiles (1) have, in the region where the fastening means passes through, holes (2), of which the clear width corresponds to a multiple of the thickness of the shank (3) and of the head of the fastening means (4), and that there be inserted into the hole (2) an insert (5) which is stable with respect to impact and pressure and through which the shank (3) of the fastening means (4) can pass. <IMAGE>
