The support for racks carrying items for electrostatic powder coating has two horizontal rails (2) that attach to two vertical racks (3). . The horizontal rails are made of square section tube and terminate in female couplings which fit over corresponding male connectors (8) fixed to the inside of the racks. The racks have slots along their length, sloping upwards toward their opening (7), to accept the ends (9) of the rails (5) that carry the hooks supporting items to be coated. Obliquely sloping pins (6) project from the side wall of the racks. These pins engage with two U-shaped support columns (4) to create an electrical contact to carry electrical current to each of the suspension rails.
