<p>A vibration-compensating apparatus for counteracting unbalanced moments and thereby vibrations generated by the main engine of a vessel or other excitation sources comprising two shafts (38, 39) arranged parallelly in a housing. A rotary body (49, 50) with the same eccentric mass is mounted on each shaft and comprises a rotary body part (49F, 50F) fixedly mounted on the shaft and a rotary body part (49L, 50L) mounted on the shaft releasable for turning. The shafts are interconnected through a transmission so as to rotate in opposite directions and driven synchronously at an rpm being a multiple of the rpm of the excitation source by means of a driving motor and a control and synchronising device. The rotary body shafts (38, 39) are arranged essentially vertically.</p> |
