A turbine has a rotor disc (6) mounted to be capable of rotation about a rotor axis (8), as well as a plurality of laid slots (grooves) (9) which extend in the axial direction, are arranged distributed on the circumference of the rotor disc (6), have a prescribed cross-sectional profile, preferably resembling a fir tree, and are separated from one another by a rotor tooth (13) which is bounded laterally by two first end faces (10a, b), and which turbine has a multiplicity of turbine blades (3) which respectively have at their lower end a blade root (4) for insertion into one of the blade slots (9), it being the case that the cross-sectional profile of the blade root (4) is matched to the blade slot (9) and is bounded at the side by two second end faces (11a, b). The blade root (4) or the rotor tooth (13) of such a turbine root unloaded owing to the fact that the first and second end faces (10a, b and 11a, b, respectively) lie in different planes. <IMAGE>
