The invention starts from an internal gear machine with a casing, an externally toothed pinion, an internal gear running with the pinion, a half-crescent-shaped filling piece which is arranged between pinion and internal gear and has a sealing segment, which can be pressed with a first side against the internal gear or the pinion, and a segment carrier towards which the sealing segment is turned with a second side, and a filling-piece pin on which the sealing segment and the segment carrier are supported. The aim of the invention consists in obtaining sufficiently large bearing surfaces between the filling-piece pin and the sealing segment with a filling-piece pin which is of simple design and can also be used at high operating pressures. The aim is achieved in that the distance between the second side of the sealing segment and the axis of the internal gear decreases towards the filling-piece pin when the sealing segment is adjacent to the internal gear, or that the distance between the second side of the sealing segment and the axis of the pinion increases towards the filling-piece pin when the sealing segment is adjacent to the pinion.
