Frame profile for a battery consisting of components of a filter, drip catcher or the like detachably or firmly connected to one another. In this arrangement, the frame profile is formed from two lateral hollow spar profiles which are firmly connected to one another by a distance bridge, and each hollow spar profile has a groove for accommodating plate material at right angles to the distance bridge towards both sides. Furthermore, the hollow spar profiles have groove strips, facing one another at a distance apart parallel to the distance bridge and in alignment with one another, for accommodating plate material, and the distance bridge has in each case next to the hollow spar profiles a groove open to the outside for accommodating connector blocks or the like.
