<p>PURPOSE: To provide a portable, independent and miniaturized optical scanning device. CONSTITUTION: This scanning device is provided with a housing member 20 in which a printed circuit board 28 is bridged, cover section 22 for the housing member, semicircular mirror member 32 which is bridged over the printed circuit board and has a conical edge section 34, light emitting element 36 which is bridged over the mirror member and emits a scanning light beam inside the housing member, polygonal rotary spinner which is bridged over the printed circuit board and orients the light beam through the mirror member onto plural pattern formation mirror members 48-52, opening 24 on the cover section with which the light beams reflected on the pattern formation mirror members are received at the edge section of the mirror member and the reflected light beam is passed through, and scanning pattern for scanning a bar code label arranged adjacently to the opening. Then, over the mirror member, condenser systems 58 and 66 are bridged for generating electric signals in response to the detection of the light beam from the scanned bar code label.</p> |
