<p>PURPOSE:To provide a lightweight, small cable laying unit which can be placed on a cable tray at the time of use. CONSTITUTION:A friction roller 6 is disposed coaxially with the capstan drum of a cable laying unit 1 while a tension roller 7 and a retainer roller 8 are disposed on the side of the friction roller 6. The retainer roller 8 is moved in the direction of the friction roller 6. A cable hauling rope R is entrained, at the intermediate part thereof, about the capstan drum 5 and pulled on one side thereof whereas fed out on the other side thereof. The rope R entrained about the capstan drum 5 is further entrained, temporarily, about the tension roller 7 and then entrained about the friction roller 6. The rope R fed out from the friction roller 6 is pressed against the friction roller 6 by means of the retainer roller 8 thus imparting an appropriate tension to the rope R. The rope R is wound firmly around the capstan drum 5 and fed out positively with no slip.</p> |
