CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ATM EXCHANGE ACCESSORY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To allow the ATM exchange to control an accessory device such as a remote device in matching with a feature of the ATM exchange with respect to the control system for the accessory for the ATM exchange to control the accessory device such as a remote device added to the ATM exchange comprising a call processing processor, an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) switch and a signal device. CONSTITUTION:In the ATM exchange comprising a call processing processor 1, an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) switch 2 and a signal device 3, when an accessory device 4 added to the ATM exchange is controlled from the ATM exchange, an ATM path is set between the signal device 3 and the accessory device 4 and control information from the call processing processor 1 is processed to be a cell by using the ATM path and the cell including the control information is reported to the accessory device 4 via the ATM switch 2 to control the accessory device 4.
