PURPOSE:To provide the device and method for music selection which facilitate the music selection. CONSTITUTION:Numbers are previously registered on a memory card 11 and displayed on the screen of a display means 13 through a card reader 12. One of the displayed numbers is selected by a music selecting operation means 14 to select music and data on the selected music are outputted sequentially to a reproducing means 16 through an output means 15, so that the music is reproduced by the reproducing means 16. When a magnetic card which is given a discrimination code is utilized, the numbers are registered in a computer while made to correspond to the discrimination code. Further, when a code converting means is provided. code conversion between the dedicated codes of the numbers of the KARAOKE system and the number codes by the kinds of KARAOKE devices is performed and music selection is performed between different kind of KARAOKE devices by using the common memory card 11. Further, when a remote operation means is provided. the music selecting operation means can remotely be operated. |
