PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of copying paper and simultaneously, the volume of copies made by means of copying by forming the first scanned image on the half of a sheet of copying paper and further, the second image scanned in the blank part of the copying paper. CONSTITUTION:An automatic original feeder 30 successively feeds the original OR2 and OR1 up to the front of a pinch roller 38 by a feeding roller from the top of the original whose surfaces to be copied face down and which are placed on an original tray 32. First, the original OR2 of the second page is carried to an original platen 25 by the pinch roller 38 and a carrying belt 39 and positioned. The original is copied on the half of the copying paper and shown by the figure of COPY 1 and the other half is blank. The copying paper is temporarily housed in a paper refeeding tray in a copying machine main body. Then, the original OR1 of the first page is fed and positioned, the copying paper is fed from the paper refeeding tray and two pages of original can be easily copied on the same surface of a sheet of copying paper, as shown by the figure of COPY 2. |
