<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently attain data conversion, and to reduce a chip area by constituting a data converting device of a reduced lookup table and a logic circuit. CONSTITUTION: A data converting device is constituted of a reduced lookup table 101, invalid data judging part 102, group judging part 103, output flag generating part 104, flag modulating part 105, control signal generating part 106, and output correcting part 107. Whether or not first temporary data outputted from the table 101 are invalid is judged by the judging part 102, and first - third group signals are outputted by the judging part 103. Then, first - third control signals are generated based on those signals by the generating part 106, an output flag is calculated based on the first - third group judgment signals, invalid data detection signal, and first temporary flag by the generating part 104, and a primitive input flag and a modulation input flag are successively outputted from the modulating part 105. Second temporary data from the table 101 are corrected based on the output of the generating part 106 by the correcting part 107, and outputted as modulated data.</p> |
