<p>PURPOSE: To provide a data transmission device in which the permanent circulation of an optical pulse can be avoided. CONSTITUTION: This is a data transmission device having plural data transmitting stations. The data inputting part and data outputting part of the data transmitting station are respectively connected with a light receiver 25 and a light transmitter 26, and those light receiver and light transmitter are connected with an optical waveguide, and a ring-shaped data transmission path is constituted. The multiple circulation of an optical pulse on the ring-shaped transmission path can be prevented. Each transmitting station 20 is provided with interrupting means 203 and 204 which interrupt a transmission path between the light receiver and the light transmitter and a timing means 205 which controls the interrupting means, and activates those interrupting means in a time period beyond the circulating time of the optical pulse in the ring-shaped transmission path starting from the termination of the optical pulse in the transmission mode of the data transmitting station.</p> |
