PURPOSE:To control shifting of an automatic transmission suitable for a driver so that the driver does not operate unnatural acceleration or deceleration. CONSTITUTION:A controller 5 compares the operating speed of an accelerator pedal 7 with the reference value, selects a shift pattern according to the comparison result, and shifts an automatic transmission 1 through the shift solenoids 3, 4 of a control valve 2 by the use of input information 6 based on the selected shift pattern. In this case, the controller 5 monitors unnatural accelerator pedal operation during shifting and after shifting, and corrects the above-mentioned reference value in the direction of dissolving the unnatural operation. Hereby, the facility of shifting is changed in detail in response to the liking of a driver or various elements of a vehicle so as not to perform any unnatural accelerator operation during shifting and after shifting, and hence high evaluation is obtained regardless of liking, etc., of a driver. |
