<p>PURPOSE:To improve unbalanced load tolerance and harmonic tolerance of a generator by supplying, from an exciting device, such electric current as generating a rotating magnetic field which cancels an asynchronous magnetic field component. CONSTITUTION:A rotating magnetic field type synchronous generator 1 is provided with an auxiliary winding 1c on its field side as well as an armature winding 1a and a field winding 1b. Such superimposed electric current of alternating current and direct current cancels a negative-phase magnetic field component generated under an unbalanced load where armature current is unbalanced runs through an auxiliary field winding IC. As a result, the rotating magnetic field for dampening the negative-phase component of a rotating magnet field in a generator occurs. Namely, field winding current and direct current of the auxiliary field winding 1c are regulated so that the voltage of the armature winding 1a may become prescribed one, and alternating current of the auxiliary field winding 1c is regulated based on the computed results of a computation circuit 6 so that no negative-phase magnetic field component may remain in the rotating field type synchronous generator 1.</p> |
