PURPOSE: To make a combination of an inclined spring and elastomer usable for increasing the characteristics, or the advantages of the inclined spring, as well as keeping important force and deflection characteristics thereof. CONSTITUTION: A spring assembly 10 is interconnected with one another in a spaced-apart relationship, by which the spring assembly 10 exerts a force in a loading direction approximately normal to a tangent to a centerline of a plurality of coils in response to the deflection of the spring assembly 10 along the loading direction. An elastic material is provided which is disposed around and between the plurality of coils 12 and has a cross section for modifying the force exerted by the spring assembly 10 in response to the deflection of the spring assembly along the loading direction. |
