PURPOSE:To detect the position and bend of a pin by controlling the drive of a suction nozzle from a recognized position to a prescribed mounting position based on an image pickup signal from an image pickup means which picks up the image of the front end of a pint terminal through the light transmitting section of a masking plate. CONSTITUTION:A masking plate 20 is driven in a horizontal direction and inserted between a PGA 1 and ring illumination 4. When the plate 20 stops at a prescribed position, the pin of the PGA 1 is roughly aligned with the through hole of the plate 20. Then a control section 15 accurately aligns the pin of the PGA 1 with the through hole of the plate 20 by driving a suction head 13 based on the recognized picture signal of a CCD camera 5. After alignment, the pin is faced to a prescribed circuit pattern on a printed board 17 and the PGA 1 is mounted on the board 17. Therefore, the PGA package can be accurately positioned. |
