<p>PURPOSE:To measure the start-up time of a sub process and to stop the operation of a main process when no sub process is started up even after the lapse of a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:In a device equipped with a GUI which controls a window system by a main process and a sub process, the main process counts the start-up time of the sub process by a time counting means 1, and transfers its own ID number to the main process when the sub process is normally started up. The main process is completed when no ID number is transferred within a prescribed time by an abnormality completion means 2. In the case of the completion of the main process, When it is decided that a storage means 3 stores the ID number of the sub process by a decision means 4, a normalcy completion means 5 completes the main process after completing the sub process. In this way, the processing of the main process, the detection of the start-up of the sub process, the count of the start-up time, and the processing of the sub process can be performed simultaneously.</p> |
